Botox In Your 20's?!

Botox In Your 20's?!

Botox in your 20’s?! There is definitely a stigma that getting Botox is ONLY for “older” people with tons of wrinkles. That is what I always used to think too! WRONG! If you have been curious about getting Botox and want to know why, it is not only amazing for your appearance now, but it is actually beneficial for your future, keep reading! I touched on this briefly in my Botox Q&A blog post– but let’s get more into it here.

Also.. one quick note..

I’ll be the first to say, you don’t NEED Botox and you are a freaking queen & beautiful the way you are. HOWEVER I ALSO believe that if you do want to change something about appearance or get something done that will make you feel more confident, by all means, do it girl! Don’t let any type of stigma stop you either way!

Okay, back to the point..

I personally love getting Botox! I actually personally get Dysport, it is basically the exact same thing as Botox, just a different brand and a personal preference. But for simplicity sake, I will refer to it as Botox! I started going to  Holcomb Kreithen, Plastic Surgery & Med Spa in Sarasota for Botox because it makes my face look more smooth, less wrinkled and I feel like I actually need to wear less makeup when I have it! The wonderful staff there informed me that it is actually SO beneficial too start getting Botox as young as in your 20’s if you want amazing looking skin as you age.

Having good looking skin is definitely important to me as I age. So, like I always say, I am not a professional, but let me try to explain the best that I can. If you get Botox now, before your wrinkle lines are super deep, they will more easily go away and your muscles there will temporarily freeze for 3-4 months. Now, let’s say you go back for more Botox every 3 months for a year or 2. Your muscles will get used to being “frozen” and you actually may only need to go every 6ish months from then on! If you continue to do this as you age, your muscles will not be able to move in those areas and therefore will not create ANY wrinkle lines there! YUP! So the moral of the story is, the sooner the better!

Let me give you a personal example- my mom has a very strong “11” on her forehead (the creases between your eyes when you make a mad face or squint). This was also super apparent on my face as well (mine was more like a “1”). My mom just started getting Botox in her 50’s and although it makes a WORLD of a difference, it takes a little more work to get those lines gone completely. As you can tell though, as soon as I got mine done, within 2 weeks my “1” was completely gone and will stay gone as long as I keep up with my injections!

3 MONTHS AFTER INITIAL BOTOX VS 2 WEEKS AFTER MY 2ND INJECTIONS!

As you can tell in the first comparison, this was before I got Botox initially vs. 2 weeks after! And in the second comparison, this was my photo after 3 months from my initial injections when I went to my next appointment vs. 2 weeks after that! I personally LOVE getting Botox and I am the biggest baby about needles but I promise you it doesn’t hurt hardly at ALL!

I definitely plan to continue to get Botox for as long as I can. If you are wondering about pricing or have any questions, I may have answered them on this blog post here- BOTOX Q & A!

As always, if you mention my name, KAIT, when you make your appointment at Holcomb Kreithen, Plastic Surgery & Med Spa in Sarasota (or Tampa), they will give you 15% off! Ask for  Erin as your injector, she is the bomb!!
